Welcome to Ember and Echo in Ink!

My goal for this site is to share funny and heartfelt stories about my pets, my struggles, and the sometimes-idiotic things I manage to get myself into. Eventually, I’ll explain why I chose this name—because it does carry meaning for me and my writing journey.

Some of you may know me as Hensley Hope, where I publish fiction, or by my own name for nonfiction. (My nonfiction hasn’t exactly taken off on Amazon—probably because I’ve done zero advertising. Oops.)

The idea for this blog started after a conversation with my aunt, Judy. She insisted I needed to write books about my pets’ antics. When my grandmother was first diagnosed with cancer, I remember sitting in the hospital lobby with my husband, swapping stories and showing pictures of our animals. My aunt told me later that she had never laughed so hard. She’s been begging me ever since to write them down. So here we are—blogging seemed like the perfect start.

I want this to be a place where you can read, laugh, and maybe even share your own stories. If you’d like, you can email me your funny experiences—I’ll happily feature them here (with or without your name attached). And if you’ve got a good story about me… well, we’ll see. If it’s something that could land me 15–20 years in the pokey, names may need to be changed to protect the guilty. 😉

This site will also grow into something interactive, where I’ll share and sell some of the digital products I’ve been creating. But most of all, I want it to be a space where we connect through humor, stories, and a little bit of chaos.
